
The Ukiah Garden Club was established May 1, 1947 and incorporated under General Nonprofit Corporation Laws of the State of California on November 16, 1966. The Garden Club House was bought in 1956 and is governed by the Board of Directors, Executive Board and its members
General Membership Meetings are held the second Wednesday of the month from September to May.
Regular Meetings 12:00 p.m.
Board Meetings are held the First Wednesday of the month all year at 10:00 a.m.
All club meetings are held at the Club House unless otherwise announced.
A successful club is dependent on the participation of its members. The more you join in, the more fun you will have. Some members need encouragement to get involved; thus, it is required that:
Each member serves on a hostess committee at least once a year and participates in at least one fund raising project per year.
Membership dues are due and payable in advance for the period July 1st to June 30th. Please bring your dues to a meeting or send to the Ukiah Garden Club, Financial Secretary at P.O. Box 447, Ukiah, Ca. 95482.

Civic Beautification: The club is sponsoring freeway cleanup, concentrating on the Hwy. 101 Perkins St. on/off ramp
Garden Tour: A fun yet educational time for the public to view a group of outstanding local gardens.
Monthly education programs: Ukiah Garden Club offers daytime and evening programs on topics of interest to seasoned and new gardeners. Topics cover plants, cultivation, and wildlife.
Spring plant sale: The club offers plants to the community which come out of member’s gardens and are sure to grow in our community.
Summer Excursions: Once a month, one day field trips to nurseries or gardens are planned during the summer. Members usually meet at the club house and carpool. Call chairman Sandy Spencer with any ideas you have for trips or places you would like to visit.
Educational Programs: The club services members and the public through demonstrations, programs and classes on gardening and conservation.
Horticulture Department Program with Mendocino Community College: Students are invited to Garden Club programs and activities.
Library Contribution: Members place flowers and plants in the library.
Penny Pines: Members’ penny contributions are used to plant pines in State and National Forests.
Scholarship Fund: The club awards a $500 scholarship each year to a student pursuing a degree in Horticulture or a related field.
